Chicago Booth Conference on Finance and Development
September 26-27, 2025
The Chicago Booth Conference on Finance and Development will take place on September 26th and 27th. We will start with a full-day workshop bringing together some of the foremost experts in finance, economics and development. This will be followed by a half-day session specifically for junior scholars.
The conference is designed to foster collaborative dialogue, both to reflect on key lessons and challenges from the last two decades, and to identify the most pressing and promising areas for future research. During day one (September 26th), discussions will be structured around five panels covering major cross-cutting themes, presented by leading academics, senior policymakers and experts from international financial institutions. During the half-day session on day two (September 27th), junior scholars will have the opportunity to present works in progress on related themes and receive feedback.
Attendance is by invitation only. If you have any questions, please email Jennifer Williams.
